Pumpkinhead 2020

Pumpkinhead 2020

The big event itself!  It’s what we’re ramping up to all month long.  Brave and/or foolish souls, standing on milk crates for all to see (with higher safety protocols what with the pandemic and all) who can last longest with a hollowed out pumpkin over their dumb heads. It goes down on Halloween Day, Saturday October 31st at Carl’s Jr. on East & Esplanade here in Chico!

DUE TO COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS, THE EVENT WILL BE COMPLETELY CLOSED OFF TO THE PUBLIC IN THE PARKING LOT. THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO WATCH THE LIVE STREAM VIA TWITCH HERE, OR IN PERSON FROM AT LEAST 6 FEET AWAY FROM THE BARRICADES WHILE MAINTAINING PHYSICAL DISTANCE FROM PEOPLE NOT IN THEIR OWN HOUSEHOLD.

To the winner?  The glory, the adulation, and that big ol’ cash prize!

$25,000 Pumpkinhead Rainmaker

We get it. Some people don’t have the intestinal fortitude to go for the glory and only want the cash.  We got you, ya big pansy!  $1,000 is up for grabs every weekday and all you have to do is listen to 106.7 Z-Rock.

We won’t stop until all 25K is gone, and yeah, that includes five Pumpkinhead hangover days at the beginning of November too.

PUMPKINHEAD IS MAKIN’ IT RAIN, FOOL!

Wake the Buc Up

Tim Buc Moore wrapped up Pumpkinhead Month on Thursday October 29th at Fresh Twisted Cafe in North Chico.

He doodled on Z-Rock mugs courtesy of Odin’s Smoke Shop, and rocked out with his (pumpkin spice) coffee out all month long!

Check the Wake the Buc Up page for all the pics.

Virtual High School Football Tourney

Coronavirus is a big ol’ @$$hole, but Friday nights were made for high school football, so we figured out how to make this happen!

Real North State high school football players repping their schools and teams playing each other on XBox Madden 21, streaming live on Twitch and right here at zrockfm.com while teammates, classmates, families, and friends cheer them on in the live chat.

Nine North State teams threw their hat in the ring, check out the full schedule (including the Victory Bell & Almond Bowl!) here.

The tournament is made possible in part by the Sean Morgan for City Council campaign.
