Hometown: I was straight up in a gang with those dudes from Korn back in Bakersfield, CA... Okay no I wasn't but I was born there back in the day... a thousand years ago.

Favorite Bands: I honestly listen to a lot of music, but some of favorites include, the Deftones, Incubus, Adema, Orgy, Rise Against, Dropkick Murphys, Unwritten Law and Pennywise, just to name a few.

Stuff I like: listening to music, which is completely excellent as I get PAID for it. Whoohoo! My stupid iPhone, taking pictures, a good stiff drink with friends, checking out DJ's in clubs, going to sushi (seriously if you work in a sushi joint in Chico, you've probably waited on me already!) and seeing bands play live. I'll try anything new once, twice if I like it. ;-)

Stuff I'm not crazy about: Avacados. No really I don't get these things at all. Paying bills. Going to jail is another really awful thing, totally cold and sucky, so I try to avoid that when I can. Bad kissers, yuck. People who won't try new things. People who are totally judgemental and close minded. Ice chips in my martinis (incorrect!) being mauled by bears, that's never a good time...

Other things to know: Animals should be able to talk. The way to my heart is an Absolut Boston / Tonic and a plate of sushi. I have a Hello Kitty toaster. It's supposed to put Hello Kitty's face on my toast. It doesn't. I already think you're a bad ass just for reading this and listening to my baby here, Z-Rock. For real, I love you!

Hasn't this all happened before?

 

Dain was at Z-Rock from 1998-2005, so there's a chance you listened to him in high school and now have kids of your own. There's also a very strong possibility that you're still drinking in the same garage, wearing the same clothes, making fart jokes with your pals. The more things change the more they stay the same.



Dain says: "Great to be back in yer ears folks! I hope I can make your Saturday evenings a bit more interesting- we'll talk about babies and feelings! And strippers and booze and drugs and fire and hot sauce and Lego and Star Wars and tacos and stuff. If nothing else I'll just leave you wondering how in the hell a 32 year old can be sober yet act like a coked-up chicken."
